New Employee Orientation

The first day on the job for all new City employees is a mandatory, one-day orientation that covers important information such as:


What it means to be a City employee,

The City's Substance Abuse Policy,

The City's Harassment Avoidance Policy

Employee Safety on the Job

Employee Code of Conduct

The City's Conflict of Interest Ordinance

Benefits and Orientation

New employee orientation is hosted by the Training Office of the Human Resources Department. Orientation is held on the first Monday of each pay period from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 1 Civic Plaza NW

Before scheduling new employees for this mandatory orientation, employees must first pass any required physical exam, drug test, and background check and complete any required paperwork through your online NEOGOV account. You will be notified by the Human Resources Department by email prior to orientation with your NEOGOV account information.
