Announcements: Welcome to the City of Albuquerque Cyber Security Site

Welcome to the City of Albuquerque Cyber Security Site

Cyber Security Awareness is intended to educate the City of Albuquerque staff about the inherent risks of the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of our systems and data and how each of us can play a role in protecting this information and data.  The primary role of security awareness is to reduce the risks of a security breach.
Through this site, you will find the CABQ security newletters, a link to the CABQ Security Awareness training modules hosted by the Public Services University (PSU) and links to national Cyber security sites.  Each will provide information on specific security topics, provide best security practices and the information necessary to avoid vulnerabilities by recognizing malicious attempts at stealing confidential data through various methods to include email, web sites and social engineering.

All staff of the City of Albuquerque have a responsibility for maintaining data privacy and security. This site offers best practices and tools to help you protect the privacy of others.

Information privacy and security are everyone's responsibilities - we can't do it without you!

National Cyber Security Awareness Month is an annual effort to increase awareness and prevention of online security problems, spearheaded by the US Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). In tandem with the nation-wide effort, the City of Albuquerque is launching a new security awareness campaign.
